Services

The Institute of Public Policy has a multidisciplinary team of Ph.D. researchers, policy analysts, graduate research assistants, and support staff, who work to increase the availability and effectiveness of policy analysis and research for state and local decision makers. Furthermore, the Institute works with state and local public and nonprofit agencies to meet their specific research, evaluation and training needs. The Institute of Public Policy offers expertise in several project and policy research areas.

The Institute of Public Policy provides the following types of technical assistance:

Program Evaluation

  • Identify program successes and barriers
  • Track outputs and outcomes
  • Utilize performance measurement to direct programming
  • Identify best practices



Survey Design and Analysis

  • Design and administer survey, including piloting survey questions
  • Identify representative sample
  • Phone, mail and online survey formats
  • Compile and analyze results

Analysis and Reports

  • Quantitative and Qualitative Analysis
  • Spatial analysis (GIS maps)
  • Reports, briefs and presentations of findings



Focus Groups and Interviews

  • Develop protocols
  • Participant recruitment and incentives
  • Key informant interviews
  • Analysis and reporting
