Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP)

Project Description:

Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) contracted the Institute of Public Policy to conduct a four part evaluation of the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP) being implemented in communities throughout Missouri. The PREP evaluation will determine if the program effectively educates and supports adolescents (ages 12-19) to make informed decisions, develop life skills, and practice healthy behaviors now and in the future for successfully transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. The four part evaluation includes a 1) quarterly process evaluation, 2) monthly fidelity evaluation, 3) annual community capacity evaluation and 4) a longitudinal pre/post outcome evaluation. The Institute is responsible for providing evaluation trainings and technical assistance to implementation sites around the state as well as implementing the evaluation plan including data management and report writing.
