In 2000, the Board of Curators approved the establishment of a program known as the Legislative Academy, to provide services in support of state government, primarily but not exclusively members of the General Assembly. The Board's action followed the recommendations of an extensive stakeholder advisory committee composed of legislators, other public officials and citizens.
